When we arrive it maybe Breakfast time or Lunch time either way if you have not eaten or its time for your next meal we will if you would like prepare something for you for then or put away in the fridge for later so you need not worry about your next meal, we can also help with either having home meals brought in at specific times or help with the food shop and look towards your meal plans for the rest of the week. Did you know that malnutrition in elderly people is a bigger problem than obesity? Preparing food and eating alone can feel like a difficult or unnecessary chore if you’re living alone, but having someone to cook or just heat a delicious, healthy meal and chat with you while you eat can make the world of difference. The wealth of life experience our Helpers bring makes them excellent cooks, as many Helpers have raised their own family or have worked in hospitality and various other roles, this is certainly not a chore it’s all part of our helping hand, it’s a very comforting thing to do.

Yes we can help with this as we said earlier we all need a balanced diet and making up menu plans for the week and having the right ingredients to accompany we can do if needed, this is all something we can talk about when we set up our initial meeting, nothing is too much trouble.
Vegetables / Fruit and the right Carbs are key as they say 5 a day, but we also have to take into account the Client and what they like or are allowed not just what’s best, but also the food needs to be prepared in the right way if the Client wanted this kind of service again this is something we can talk about at the meeting, we are quite forthright when it comes to this service as we know Nutrition is key.
